Weeping… But Unmoved

Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalm 126:5,6

Sometimes the pain is almost more than we can bear. A broken heart ~ or body ~ or both ~ is torture, but most times we can’t just sit down and cry… we have to put on a brave face for the people around us & we have things that need to be done. But when we can’t take anymore, we find a place to hit our knees & wet the ground with our tears … these tears are seeds in the soil of our hearts that bring forth growth & fruit. And as we are suffering… moving forward in obedience to His Will ~ going “…to and fro carrying our bag of seed” ~ God promises that we “…will come again… carrying our sheaves (the growth & fruit from our tears) with shouts of joy!”

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may share in His suffering. ..” ~ 1 Peter 4:12-13

It may not seem possible in those times when you feel like you are falling apart to rejoice, but God’s promises are for sure. All the pain He allows, even tho there are reasons we cannot see or understand, will be MORE than made up for ~ not just in our afterlife but in this life on earth as well ~ and we will agree it was worth all that comes out of it. Each time God reveals His hand in our sufferings we grow… our faith is built up in a way that could not have happened any other way, and when we begin to see how wise He is… how strategic down to the tiny details He is.. our fears fade & we feel more & more secure…

Acts 14:22 says that Paul told all his young churches, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom.” We are definitely entering the kingdom.

And…“Whatever I tell you in the darkness, say it in the light, and whatever you hear with your ears, preach on the rooftops.” (Matt 10:27) ” – we have to remind ourselves of all that He has done for us & look how far we have come and proclaim His mighty works! And as we do that, we will find, that by encouraging others, we encourage ourselves! “…And this is given to you from God, that not only should you believe in The Messiah, but that you also will suffer for his sake…” “…For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered on your behalf.” (Phl 1:29& 1 Peter 2:21)

“…they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer for His Name…” (Romans 5:41)

“He encourages us in every trouble, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any trouble, through the very encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.  For just as the sufferings of Messiah overflow into us, so also through Messiah our encouragement overflows.  If we are suffering hardship, it is for your encouragement and salvation. Or if we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement, which produces in you the patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer.  Our hope for you is firm, since we know that as you are partners in our sufferings, so also in our encouragement. ~ 2Corinthians 1:4-7
